The impact on the environment was never made clear in the legislative process. So, to say it is a “green” process is not determined. What if the deceased had powerful drugs in her system upon death, will those affect the food grown in the garden that grandma’s compost is spread upon? How about the waterways that the compost might be spread in? Will those become contaminated?

Additionally, composting does not respect the dignity of the human person.
