Where I live, adjacent to a large city in the Midwest, it is hard to find wild shrooms like those listed in the article. So, I have taken to making tinctures out of what I can get. Chicken of the woods, Dryad Saddle and Woodears are all common and abundant. I know where a few Golden Chanterelles but I eat all of those. The others are not bad to eat, but can be an acquired taste. The Dryad makes the best tincture. You can see about double the polysaccharides of the Chicken. But both are super beneficial. Now the Woodears….they make a super gelatenous tincture. I am certain it is psychotropic, and likely psychedelic. I would be careful with that one. And yes, I am 99% certain theys are Woodears. Jellies are hard to mistake for anything else.
