It might be the arrowroot causing the problem. Maybe omitting it would help? I have to shake mine well every day or it gets too solid.

Magnesium hydroxide is water soluble so it won’t combine with beeswax and oils in an oil based tube deodorant. It might work as a lotion if you use emulsifying wax but that would be a completely different recipe. It probably won’t work as well without the baking soda. You need the witch hazel in order to have enough liquid for the deodorant to roll on. You could probably replace it with distilled water but that will further decrease the shelf life.

You could try it but the magnesium hydroxide may not dissolve into the magnesium oil. Let us know if you try it and how it turns out!

You can either use more arrowroot or just omit it.
