I would never add Epsom salt. The Celtic salt has 3 magnesium minerals in it already. Otherwise, I like the recipe.

I lived in Hawai’i when I was a teenager, and I was ALWAYS at the beach. I never realized that the salt water made such a difference in skin and hair till I moved back to the mainland. I started getting breakouts and greasy flat hair. Thank you for the recipe. I intend to try it as soon as I can get all the ingredients.

Hi! What is the shelf life for sea salt toners? Since it is mixed with water, I’m sure bacteria will grow after a while.

And if I add a essential oil will it last longer?

In reply to Zoe Molina. I've found that Frankincense EO really helps with eczema on my hands. Clears it up faster than anything prescription or OTC. It might be worth a test in this.

Thanks for the recipe.

You mentioned on your other post that it’s better to dry weeping eczema , and one of your suggested method is sea salt spray.

Would it sting the inflamed skin?

I have a 5 months old who have weeping eczema.

I have dry, sensitive acne prone skin. I’m debating if this toner would be better to try or your recipe for the vitamin c toner would be better. I use a homemade cold cream to wash as i didn’t get good results using several oil cleansing recipes and my skin won’t tolerate harsh exfoliants, only oatmeal. Thanks for any input.

I just started making a hylauronic acid serum that is just HA and water. Do you think I could combine the sea salt with that? Wondering if they would compliment or compete as far as functionality? HA hydrates and goes on before moisturizer (as far as I know, still learning which is why I’m here 🙂 )
