I turned 39 this year and have noticed all kinds of age-related bummers happening around my body. The little “whispers” that Debra talked about – achy joints, saggy morning face that doesn’t go away until mid-day – little signs that my body’s not as resilient as it once was. I don’t want to wait until I’m over 50 and the whispers have become a roar, so I was thrilled to find this podcast that talks about strategies you can use to feel better now and stay strong (and looking fit!) into late middle age and beyond. I already eat healthy and do regular moderate exercise (biking to work and around town and the like), but strength training has not been on the list. Listening to this podcast has given me the kick in the pants I need to start doing some simple at-home muscle building with wall push ups and squats and the like.
