Astaxanthin and spirulina are both microalgae but they’re not the same thing and would likely work differently.

I ended up replacing half of the shea butter with tallow. The finished result still has a great texture and glides on easily. Will use it next week and see what happens!

No, the ingredients wouldn’t work in a spray.

Lots of my family in Arizona, Nevada and Florida. Safer for marine life is excellent, too. So I’ll be making this for Xmas. My question is can this be converted to a spray on? AND how? Thanks Katie, I love making your products.

You can but you’ll need to increase the beeswax some since coconut oil is solid at room temperature.

Why is my non nano zinc not mixing into my mixture properly. No matter how well I stir, when I pour, all my zinc is at the bottom of my measuring cup when I pour my last pour.

That last supplement, I noticed is a type of spiralina? Can you take any spiralina like blue/green or does it need to be the Hawaiian one?

Is there an alternative ingredient to beeswax I could use for this? So, a vegan option?

Thanks 🙂

It’s so refreshing to come across natural ways instead of just giving in to everything the store sells. I have twin daughters who have sensitive skin and one more on the way and i really started to ponder about what i was putting into my daughters bodies. Our skin is the BIGGEST organ of our body and we need to be so careful of what we allow to seep in through our pores! Life is a rush sometimes so it’s easy to be ignorant and just go on the road most traveled but Ignorance is not an excuse, especially when we have our own children to look out for. Thankful for careFULL people in a world that has become careLESS and dependent on big pharm.

So as long as it’s not used in the ocean it’s fine.
