For hot oil and water burns, just rub Coconut oil on the spot and the pain is off almost instantly and there will be no redness and blisters.

If I feel a stuffy nose coming on I rub coconut oil over my nose and sinuses. If I feel a sore throat coming on I gargle with a spoonful of coconut oil and swallow. In one hour the symptoms are gone like it was not there! So from my guess it will probably kill COVID-19 too, Plus it makes your intestines work excellent that is another benefit to stay healthy from COVID-19!

Eating coconut oil may make a person feel healthier, and it’s fine in moderation, but does not have the miraculous benefits that are being cited in this article.

With that said, I ordered the coconut oil in the link you provided about a month ago. My curiosity got me this morning when I looked at the bucket and realized it is refined, steam expeller pressed oil. You gave us the link and mentioned it’s extra virgin. I don’t see extra virgin listed on the bucket or in the ad. You also mention that for internal use that unrefined is best. Is this a mistake? If so, could you please provide the correct link or confirm that this is in fact what you really use. I want to use the best. Thank you

I’m confused in your recommendation that extra virgin coconut oil is not preferred but then you recommend ordering organic extra virgin coconut oil. Is the difference that it is organic? Is there one type that is appropriate for both internal and external uses?
Thank you

I would like to know which type of olive oil to use for the Coconut Oil for Pregnancies, Babies, and Children section? I’m a little confused if you suggested using the Spring of Life Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil – Non-GMO, Cold Pressed for that section?

Thank you kindly,
Donna

There isn’t a food that is perfect for everyone. We are all so different that what works for one person may not work for someone else. So you need to research and test what is best for your own body, as there is no one-size-fits all when it comes to health or food types…

I take a tablespoon in my morning coffee daily, but I worry if I should. I’ve read about 20 or so articles so far and it seems like the blogs with affiliate links are praising coconut oil like the end all, be all super food that you must buy and medical sites claim it’s as bad as Palm oil and raises both good and bad cholesterol as well as being a snake oil being pushed by uninformed members of the healthy living community. I’m not a troll, just looking for facts. Your opinion on the World Health Organization’s scathing analysis on coconut oil being an unhealthy food is also appreciated.

We’ve all had that occasional door that squeaks when opening. Rub hinges with coconut oil until squeaking stops. It’s a natural treatment unlike spray chemicals that end up on your floor or carpet where it’s picked up by baby’s bare feet or yours or your pets. (Also, if building a home, make sure your contractor does not use black graphite on door hinges. Graphite, a form of coal, leaves black stains on your doors and carpets and is difficult to get rid of without repainting the door!)

As a first time mother (my daughter is 9 months old), I find coconut oil to be my multi-purpose go to… from a hair mask, to heat protectant when blow drying my hair, to a natural moisturizer for myself and the baby, coconut oil is a Must. I even use it as an in-between toothpaste to freshen breath and get rid of bacteria!

First it was considered bad, and then a superfood, and now reports are indicating coconut is not any better for you than other food or other oils, and one person claims it is a poison. What is an educated person to think. Have both sides used valid global arguments, or did they pick and choose what they wanted to attack? I chose to write you because I have read your site before, and read your article on the subject. Maybe you could discuss the opposing issues. Thanks for your consideration.

I have started the healthy living because of your website years ago. Thank you for the good advices.
Receantly I saw a lot of articles about coconut oil. All of them say that it is very bad for you. The latest was the article above:

A 50-minute German lecture becoming a viral hit on YouTube might sound unusual, but the title of the talk by Karin Michels, the director of the Institute for Prevention and Tumor Epidemiology at the University of Freiburg and a professor at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, has caused a bit of a stir online.

During the lecture, titled “Coconut Oil and other Nutritional Errors,” Michels has made herself very clear with regard to dietary recommendations, and underlined that coconut oil is not healthy.

Its superfood status had already come under scrutiny last year after the American Heart Association (AHA) updated its guidelines, which recommended that people avoid the saturated fatty acids found in coconut oil.

Wellness Mama,

I would like to know your opinion about this article, and all the similar ones that recently showed up!!

I really would like to know your toughts.

Thank you

Erika

This study came out last year and has been completely debunked. It was paid for by the vegetable oil industry whose market share is declining. Always follow the money trail…
